Picture Uploading and Editing
In addition to being able to show a feed of your Flickr pics in the Photos pod, you can upload image files in three places on your mEgo:
- Looks>Background: you can use Your own image as the background for your mEgo. While you can upload up to ten jpg, jpeg, gif or png files, you can only use one at a time as the active background. To pick the image you want to use as your background, just click on it. The files you upload need to be 3 MB (3072 KB) or smaller.
To look best, each picture should be as close as possible to the following dimensions:
Width Height 286 x 443 pixels 2.98 x 4.62 inches 7.57 x 11.72 cm. Tip: you can select multiple files to upload simultaneously by using Ctrl+click.
After you upload a file, you can use mEgo's sweet photo editing tools to personalize your picture and make it fit your mEgo exactly the way you want it to. Just click the Crop & Style link and follow the onscreen instructions to crop, reposition or resize and/or to apply effects to your picture. When you save your changes, a copy of the file you originally uploaded will appear in the gallery.
The Delete link makes it easy to remove a picture from your custom Background gallery.
- Content>Essentials: go to the Content page and choose to edit the Essentials pod. You can upload any jpg, jpeg, gif or png file, 3 MB (3072 KB) or smaller from your hard drive. The image you upload will be automatically scaled to fit in the allotted space (200 x 150 pixels) in the My Vitals area.
- Content>Sidekick: go to the Content page and choose to edit the Sidekick pod. You can upload any jpg, jpeg, gif or png file, 3 MB (3072 KB) or smaller from your hard drive. The image you upload will be automatically scaled to fit in the allotted space (200 x 150 pixels) in the My Vitals area.
General info: all uploaded files must adhere to mEgo's Photo Policy . Any files you delete or that are deleted by a mEgo administrator for failing to adhere to our policy will be permanently deleted from mEgo's servers.
